Smyrna flexed its muscles once again Friday night and remained undefeated in region play with a 42-10 win at Siegel in the Kia of Murfreesboro Game of the Week.

"We had a good night," said senior quarterback John Turner. "Our defense struggled a bit at first but were able to pick it up and answer the challenge.

"Offensively, our line had a real good night. I never really got touched. Our receivers played well and Blake (Watkins) and Dyvonte (McCormick) both stepped in and played very well."

The Bulldogs (5-1, 3-0) continue to clear up any questions that may have surfaced about their offense with the loss of tailback Casey Perkins, as the two-headed monster that is the Smyrna offense continued its success with Turner throwing for over 300 yards and five touchdowns, and the Bulldog rushing attack amassing almost 200 yards.
