Riverdale's girls admittedly had a chip on their shoulder when they faced undefeated Stewarts Creek last Friday night.
Coming off a tough three-point loss to rival Blackman on Tuesday, the Lady Warriors set the tone early in a 76-50 rout at Johnny Parsley Gymnasium.
"We knew that we should not have lost that game and we were very upset, and we wanted to show everybody that we're better than what we played," said Riverdale guard Anastasia Hayes, who had a team-high 24 points. "Our defense was good tonight. When we're playing tough defense that's when we're at our best.
