MTSU's football team was picked to finish second in Conference USA's East Division on Tuesday in a poll conducted of media who cover the league.
Two-time defending champion Western Kentucky was picked first with 20 first-place votes, followed by the Blue Raiders with four, Old Dominion with three, Marshall with one and FAU, FIU at Charlotte.
Louisiana Tech was the overwhelming favorite in the West Division, garnering 20 first-place votes, followe by Texas-San Antonio with seven, Southern Miss with one, North Texas, Rie, UTEP and UAB.
