CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Friday, the 2017 Baseball Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 75 student-athletes were named to the team from this past season.
Kent State led the 2017 squad with 11 selections to the Academic All-MAC team, while Eastern Michigan followed close behind with 10 student-athletes, and Toledo added nine.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
