Akron junior LB John Lako joined the starting line-up in Saturday’s stunning 39-34 win at Northwestern, helping the Zips to a 2-0 start for the first time since 1993. It was his fourth career start and his first this season. Lako led the Zips on defense with 12 tackles, including a career-high seven solo stops. He also assisted on a TFL.
