Wolverines rack up another big win, dropping Purdue

“I’m really excited for our team and program to be able to beat a team like Purdue and the way that we beat them,” said Michigan head coach John Beilein. “We played really good defense in the first half. They shoot threes, and actually I think they’ve made one more three than us.

“We had to try to do everything we could to take that away from them much like the way they try to take it away from us. That first half, we did a great job of defending that.

Moritz Wagner helped carry Michigan through the first half, scoring 22 of his 24 points before the break, helping the Maize and Blue pull ahead.
