Recruits from East Lansing historically don't come to Ann Arbor to play football or basketball. They stay home and play for MSU as they probably grew up a Spartan fan. There is a ton of buzz that might change with a basketball recruit named Brandon Johns, who is a 2018 4 star Power Forward.
John's is 6'8 and 206 pounds and of course from East Lansing. He has offers from Michigan, MSU, Iowa, Alabama, Cal, Pitt, Texas, Missouri, Xavier and others. The buzz is that his commitment to Michigan and Coach B could be coming very soon. Hopefully, the buzz is accurate!
