Windsor: Peppers’ play affects entire field for U-M

He comes from nowhere fast. When he gets there, he arrives with a thud.

It’s hard to fathom how Michigan linebacker Jabrill Peppers generates such knock-back force when you stand next to him when he’s not wearing football pads. He’s listed at 6 feet 1, yet stands a hair under 6 feet. And he weighs just a few pounds more than 200.

But when he walks, as he did through the museum in Schembechler Hall on Tuesday evening, it’s easier to spot the forces that gather to create such impact: the rhythmic swaying in his stride, shoulders rocking from side to side, a coiled bundle of fast-twitch muscles.
