As Michigan prepared for the Citrus Bowl last December, coach Jim Harbaugh issued a challenge.

While starting quarterback Jake Rudock was preparing to win the game against Florida, the other quarterbacks were being auditioned for this spring.

Wilton Speight was the backup, Shane Morris the redshirting junior and John O’Korn running the scout team. But all were being watched and, this spring with Rudock working toward the NFL, they’re fighting for the vacant job.

“All three very good quarterbacks,” Morris said Tuesday after the team’s 14th of 15 spring practices.
