U-M's Kalis learns to harness strength on offensive line

Jack Miller was in a scuffle like any other scuffle.

It was football practice, where guys get frustrated, push and shove, separate and cool down.

Guys usually step in, and everyone backs away.

But one day last year at Michigan, things got a little more intense after the scuffle, thanks to offensive lineman Kyle Kalis.

"I got into it with somebody in practice," said Miller, a former center who weighed 300 pounds. "Kyle came over and literally threw me, just to get me away from the scrum. Literally picked me up and tossed me like a rag doll, like 5 yards away from the pile.
