As Zak Irvin turned the corner, Derrick Walton Jr. was already thinking ahead.
With less than 10 seconds left in overtime and Michigan in a tie game in Thursday’s Big Ten tournament, the Wolverines’ NCAA hopes on the line, Walton knew what to expect.
He and Irvin have been joined at the hip for four years.
So when Irvin came off Walton’s side with the ball, he expected him to rise and fire.
