PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – On the holiday most known for gluttony, the Michigan basketball team feasted.
With a stuffed opponent waiting in Charlotte, the Wolverines made a quick meal of the 49ers on Thursday, finishing them off with little resistance, 102-47, in its second game at the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The Wolverines (3-2) earned a date with Texas at 7 p.m. Friday night in the fifth-place game by completely flipping the previous night's thorough 14-point beating by Connecticut.
"I'm proud of our team, the way we responded after last night's disappointment," U-M coach John Beilein said.
