Spike Albrecht leaves Crisler Center with no regrets, plenty of love for Michigan

ANN ARBOR -- This was not how Spike Albrecht's final game in the Crisler Center was supposed to go.

On Saturday afternoon, Albrecht walked into the building he once called home, looked to the rafters to see a Final Four banner he helped raise and a Big Ten championship flag he helped earn as well.

Then, he walked to the visitor's bench, went scoreless in 12 minutes and watched some of his closest friends run his current team out of the building during Michigan's 82-70 win over No. 14 Purdue.

"That was weirder than I could've ever imagined, it was tough," Albrecht said, standing outside a visiting locker room he'd likely never seen before.
