Rudock's status uncertain for Rutgers game

Ann Arbor – The status of Michigan starting quarterback Jake Rudock, who missed the final quarter of the Wolverines’ victory over Minnesota because of injury, is unclear for the upcoming game.

Rudock took a hard hit late in the third quarter and suffered bruising to his ribs and torso, according to coach Jim Harbaugh. Michigan, ranked 16th and 6-2, 3-1 Big Ten, will face Rutgers at Michigan Stadium on Saturday. Backup quarterback Wilton Speight entered the game and led Michigan to a touchdown and two-point conversion.

“He got treatment,” Harbaugh said Monday at his weekly news conference.
