Rashan Gary has gotten plenty of hype from preseason prognosticators.
Now the rest of the media is falling in line, too.
Michigan's sophomore defensive end is a second-team preseason All-American selection, the Associated Press announced Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5, 287-pound Gary is the only Wolverine and one of just six sophomores across the country to crack the list, voted on by members of the media.
And perhaps most impressively, the nod comes before the Plainfield, New Jersey, native has even started a single game.
Gary made waves as a backup defensive end on a Michigan defense that allowed the second-fewest points per game in 2016.
