Michigan's Glenn Robinson III surprises, wins NBA slam dunk contest

NEW ORLEANS -- Glenn Robinson III found a new best friend.

After winning Saturday night's NBA slam dunk contest at the Smoothie King Center, the former Michigan standout and current Indiana Pacers guard/forward carried his trophy into the interview room with pride.

"I'm not letting go of her," Robinson said, rubbing the trophy. "She's following me everywhere. It's Mardi Gras and we're going to have a good time."

Robinson, considered the underdog, scored a perfect 50 on his first dunk after jumping over a man with another man on his shoulders. He grabbed the ball from the second man and slammed it home.
