The Spartans have owned long stretches of this in-state rivalry going back to the beginning of the Rich Rodriguez era at Michigan. Today, in East Lansing, the Wolverines will have their best shot in a while to knock off Michigan State and improve to 8-0, while lowering the Spartans to 2-6.
Michigan State has been going through an incredibly tough patch. It wasn’t too long ago when we were all looking at this game as one of the toughest on the Wolverines’ schedule.
