Michigan Football Has Good Chance To Have Big Ten Defensive Player Of The Year

With no shortage of star talent on its defense, it’s very possible that Michigan football could end the season with one of its players being the Big Ten defensive player of the year.

A Cleveland.com poll of 39 Big Ten writers demonstrates just how special the Wolverines’ defense could be this season.

The winner was Jabrill Peppers, who is making the move to linebacker after playing in the secondary last season. He edged out Iowa cornerback Desmond King by five points (65-60). King received the most first-place votes (16), but Peppers, who got 13 first-place votes, beat King by 10 second-place votes for a better overall score.
