Michigan football grades: Everything's smooth in blowout win over WMU

Free Press sports writer Nick Baumgardner rates the Wolverines on a scale of 1-10 after their 49-3 win over Western Michigan:

Offense

Hard to nitpick with much of Saturday's performance for the Wolverines, as Michigan had little trouble pounding the football against Western Michigan's front seven. Jim Harbaugh and company stuck with what worked, racking up more than 300 yards on the ground and playing without a turnover.

Shea Patterson tossed one of the best touchdown passes by a Michigan quarterback in recent memory with a sideline route to Donovan Peoples-Jones in the second half.
