Matt Shepard, the play-by-play voice of Michigan basketball, has been fired from hosting his morning show on WDFN 1130-AM in Detroit.
The Detroit News and Tony Paul reports the news from an anonymous source "with knowledge of the situation." Shephard, who also works for Fox Sports Detroit, told Paul that he could not comment on the situation.
Shepard confirmed the news with a Tuesday morning, May 2 tweet. "As you can tell, my show is no longer. I thank the listeners (friends) for the support and conversation over the yrs. It's been an honor."
