ALLIANCE — Faith, family and football happen in the Zurbrugg household.
Sunday is family day for the Zurbruggs. It’s a bonus Father’s Day falls on that day once a year.
Some of the family bonding involves outdoor activities. They own a lake house, and they enjoy fishing nearby. There are cookouts, too, and a little bit of backyard football.
The family goes to church every weekend, and prayers are vital in the household. Alliance quarterback Brendan Zurbrugg is involved in Catholic church youth groups and offers his own prayers. And he always prayed for a Division I scholarship.
