Jabrill Peppers joins Browns teammates in prayer kneel during national anthem

Jabrill Peppers joined a growing list of NFL players to protest the national anthem Monday night, kneeling to pray with his Cleveland Browns teammates.

According to Cleveland.com, the former Michigan standout and more than a dozen Browns players gathered around the team bench prior to kickoff against the New York Giants. Most kneeled, while others stood with them.

"Couple guys got together, spoke, we all spoke, voiced the way we want go about it," Peppers told reporters. "Ultimately, we thought coming together and praying for our nation was the best outcome that we could have gotten for everyone to come together and express how we feel.
