ANN ARBOR, MI - After 103 years as an Ann Arbor and University of Michigan athletics institution, Moe Sport Shops will close its doors on Saturday, June 30 in downtown Ann Arbor.
The closing of the iconic Ann Arbor sports apparel store was announced by Scott Hirth, president and co-founder of The M Den, which bought the store a little over a year ago from Underground Printing.
Hirth said the decision was made as part of several business moves The M Den has in store for the coming year, including expanding its location in the Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor, opening the first M Den location in Detroit in 2019 and reopening its location on South Main Street.
