Michigan’s tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh knew quickly that Wolverines freshman Devin Asiasi could make an impact on the field.

The four-star recruit from Concord, Calif., was an immediate target, No. 1 on Harbaugh’s board for U-M’s tight end-friendly offense.
“He’s a guy who plays fast, he’s physical, he’s capable of playing very nasty,” Harbaugh said. “He weighs somewhere around 270 pounds and still moves very, very well. It’s a rare physical combination. And then he has a good football awareness about him and he learns well.
