Don Brown says calling Michigan's D 'high risk, high reward' is 'baloney'

ANN ARBOR -- Don't tell Don Brown his defense is a "high risk, high reward" outfit.

Told Monday afternoon that the Big Ten Network's recent trip to Michigan's practice prompted an on-air analyst to call Michigan's defense a unit that could be defined as such, the 61-year-old defensive coordinator scoffed.

And then got down to business.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Brown began. "That's a bunch of baloney."

Brown's defense, of course, is known for its aggression and pressure. Michigan corner Jourdan Lewis dubbed his new boss "Dr. Blitz" last month at Big Ten media days.

And, virtually every player who has ever played for Brown immediately discusses the coach's willingness to bring pressure on just about every snap.
