Kornacki: Hyman Naturally Blends Children's Literature & Sport

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- It was story time, and author Zach Hyman was front and center for Jody Brecht's first grade class at Bach Elementary School. He'd come to the school that day with several University of Michigan ice hockey teammates to meet children who completed reading goals and were being rewarded by speaking with the Wolverines during their lunch break. But now Hyman had made his way down the school's corridors and into the corner of a classroom offering plenty of window lighting.

More than 20 students formed a semi-circle around him, some sitting, others kneeling, but all of them focused on Hyman, who turned the pages of one of the two children's books he's authored, "The Bambino and Me," which is fully illustrated by Zachary Pullen.
