CHICAGO — Jim Harbaugh can’t even leave his driveway without the storied Michigan tradition weighing on him.
Beginning each day on a bend in Arlington Boulevard, the Michigan football coach has to decide his commute to his office in Schembechler Hall. Should he go left toward Stadium, or take a right toward Geddes and Devonshire?
The roads don’t lend an obvious answer, so he turns instead to a legend who once lived just five houses down.
“Not a day goes by really where I don't think about Coach (Bo) Schembechler, from the time I leave my house to go to the office,” Harbaugh said.
