Harbaugh puts unique twist on summer camp

“Our goal is to have representatives from every football playing college in AMERICA,” said the Michigan release. “We invite a maximum of 2 coaches per College or University to participate in teaching the game of football properly.”

Harbaugh’s move to have the Michigan coaching staff participate as instructors in nine different satellite camps around the nation has ruffled some feathers, particularly among coaches in the SEC, where league rules prohibit participation off campus. Several coaches from the conference have spoken out in recent days criticizing the practice.

Some have called for an NCAA ban on the practice, rather than a shift in their own conference’s policies.
