Getting To Know Reuben Jones, Jim Harbaugh's First Michigan Commit

Jim Harbaugh signed his first player as Michigan head coach Saturday, with Florida 3-Star Reuben Jones committing his future to the Wolverines. Who is Reuben Jones? Let's take a look at what he brings to UM's incoming class...

Vital Stats

Position: Strong-Side Defensive End

Hometown: Lakeland, FL

High School: Lake Gibson HS

Key Facts:

- Per 247 Sports, Jones is the #44 DE in the Class of 2015 and the #102 player in the state of Florida

- Jones chose Michigan over Louisville, Michigan State, Nebraska, Iowa, Mizzou and Central Florida. He had received 25 offers in total.

- The Wolverines had been recruiting Jones since before Harbaugh came on board, with D.J. Durkin leading the charge.

- Jones is 6'3, 223 lbs and runs a 4.89 40-yard-dash.

- Jones is just the second defensive commit in Michigan's class - 4-Star safety Tyree Kinnel is the only other defensive player currently committed. Don't expect that to stay the case for long.
