Harrison Watson, an Ohio State University student according to his LinkedIn page (even though he looks like he is 45) and owner of Espire Marketing, has put out a $2,000 bounty on Twitter for anyone who "permanently sidelines" 2013 Michigan football recruit Logan Tuley-Tillman. Yes, I am serious.
I write this post in disgust that a grown man, and business owner would seriously put something like that on his Twitter account that has over 2,000 followers. Earlier this month, I saw many Michigan fans display similar behavior towards RB Ty Isaac after his commitment to USC.
Watson, who has changed his photo on his Twitter account, and is now claiming to be a Michigan fan, issued an apology on his companies website, in an attempt to stop the backlash that he has received, and hopefully will continue to receive.
Tuley-Tillman made national headlines this week after ESPN and other national sources published a Twitter picture showing him burning recruiting letters from Ohio State. This action enraged Buckeye fans, resulting in LTT receiving death threats from the classy folks in Columbus. Harry Watson took it to another level with his promise of financial gains to someone for injuring, assaulting or potentially even killing the high school junior football star headed to Michigan in fall 2013.
I ask this of any Michigan fan who reads this article:
1. Email it/Facebook it/Tweet it: Make sure that Harry Watson actions receive as much exposure as they can.
2. Tweet him - @harrywatson00 and express your feelings about his despicable tweets.
3. Go to Watson's business Facebook page and voice your support of Logan and disdain for Harry's actions - https://www.facebook.com/espiremarketing
4. Go to LinkedIn and see if you and Harry have any mutual connections. If so, message them this article.
5. Send Harry a message on Facebook
If any of this seems extreme, it is. As I have said MANY times before, I do not believe in any way that people should get away with damaging actions on Twitter without consequences.
