Two Michigan State football linebackers suspended indefinitely: What we know

Michigan State football linebackers Luke Fulton and Charles Willekes have been suspended indefinitely, an athletic department spokesman confirmed Monday.

Fulton, 20, was charged with aggravated assault in an incident Sept. 8 in East Lansing and posted $1,000 personal bond.

The Spartans were in strength and conditioning training at that point after the Big Ten postponed the season.

Fulton, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound redshirt freshman from Youngstown, Ohio, pleaded not guilty in 54B District Court on Sept. 30, and the action was removed from the calendar on Oct. 13. He is not permitted to travel out of state or have any direct or indirect contact with the alleged victim according to online court files.
