MSU’s Auston Robertson faces sex charge, kicked off team

East Lansing – Michigan State football player Auston Robertson has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, the Ingham County Prosecutor announced on Friday, and has been dismissed from the team.

The charge stems from an incident in Meridian Township on April 9 and is separate from a current sexual assault investigation that involves three players and an alleged incident that occurred on campus in January. The charges were sworn in at 55th District Court and records show the charge involve force or coercion.

Third-degree criminal sexual conduct is a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
