Michigan State kept its family football connection going today.
The Spartans landed a commitment for 2018 from defensive back Michael Dowell of Lakewood St. Edward’s High in suburban Cleveland. He is the younger brother of junior linebacker Andrew and sophomore safety David Dowell, both of whom started MSU's spring game on April 1.
Michael Dowell announced his decision in a video posted to Twitter, which featured both of his older twin brothers. He is the Spartans’ sixth recruit for 2018 and the fourth from Ohio.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Dowell is rated a four-star recruit by Scout.
