LAS VEGAS – Draymond Green was focused on helping Team USA win the gold medal next month in Rio before the resolution of his misdemeanor assault case in East Lansing.
But the incident is truly in the past after Green’s plea deal Friday.
“Definitely happy to have it behind me,” Green said tonight after Team USA’s 111-74 victory over Argentina in an exhibition at the T-Mobile Arena.
“Now I can really look forward to my summer goal, which is to go win a gold medal and put everything else behind.”
The plea agreement allows Green, 26, to avoid jail time.
