Miami Marlins Season in Review: Lefty Reliever Martin Anderson

Martin Miles Anderson is a 6’1″, 175 lb. left-handed pitcher from Bainbridge, GA, also the birthplace of recently retired David Ross. Born on this date in 1993, he linked up with the Miami Marlins after signing a free agent contract in June 2018.

Anderson played independent ball before joining the affiliated minor leagues. In 2016, he played most of the season in the Pecos League with the Garden City Wind, where he went 4-2 with a 2.64 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP, and 72 whiffs in 58 innings.

Anderson joined the Florence Freedom in the Frontier League prior to the end of the 2016 season.
