The Marlins optioned starter Jarred Cosart to Triple-A New Orleans ahead of Tuesday night's contest against the Dodgers, the club announced.
Cosart, who won a starting job with the Marlins this spring, struggled over his first 14.2 innings with the Marlins this season.
Over three starts, he pitched to a 7.98 ERA and 5.05 FIP. Cosart allowed only three runs in his first start of the season against the Mets but went on to allow four earned runs against the Braves and six earned runs against the Giants.
