Marlins could pursue Jhoulys Chacin

There’s yet another pitcher that the Marlins will be targeting this offseason in an attempt to bolster their depleted rotation. According to FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman, the Marlins could take a look at right-hander Jhoulys Chacin.

Chacin, 28, is a starting pitcher that can give what the Marlins are looking for: a low-cost option that can fill a spot in the rotation. Chacin was paid $1.1 million for one year last season.

Miami has one rotation spot open after they signed Edinson Volquez. Jose Urena, Justin Nicolino, and Jake Esch are all pitchers currently with the team that could compete for that spot.
