Throughout the 2018/2019 offseason, Marlin Maniac will devote one article each for every player who appeared in the Miami Marlins system for the 2018 season. Every. Single. Player. This is Part 185 of 286. For the first 100, click here.

John-Daniel Jurgen Worner Osborne is a 6’1″, 215 lb. right-handed batting and throwing catcher from Whitby, Ontario, where he attended All Saints Catholic SS. Nobody from Whitby has ever made the majors, although 6’6″ pitcher Ryan Kellogg is currently at high-A with the Chicago Cubs system.

Osborne was born on July 13th, 1995, and in the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft, he was chosen in the 22nd round by the Miami Marlins out of the University of Tampa.
