Trio of now-healthy 'Canes ready to make impact

Their journeys and the injuries that kept them from football for so long are all different.

But as Miami reaches the midway point of preseason camp, when sometimes the drudgery gets to be too much and the aches and pains aren't always easy to ignore, the Hurricanes can look to three of their teammates for inspiration — players who a year ago, were unsure when they'd play again.

Receiver Rashawn Scott, safety Rayshawn Jenkins and offensive lineman Hunter Knighton didn't suit up for Miami last season. Instead, each was sidelined with a season-ending injury that kept them from doing little more than watching as their teammates struggled through a 6-7 campaign.
