After beginning the season as the Saturday night starter, Miami Head Coach Jim Morris moved him up to the Friday night ace position last month. Bargfeldt has been among the ACC’s best pitchers all season. Even more remarkable is that he has performed even better in conference play.
Bargfeldt is currently 6-3 with a 2.28 Earned Run Average. That is fourth in the ACC. He is also sixth in the ACC in opponent batting average at .195 and ninth with 75 innings pitched.
