Yearby went undrafted after declaring for the NFL Draft after his Junior season. Per the Atlantic City Press Yearby and two other rookies “took turns fielding punts, lining up on various special teams units and taking handoffs.”
Yearby never returned kicks or punts during collegiate career. He did record four tackles. He is going to have to make himself useful on special teams to make an NFL roster.
The Eagles invited 23 rookie free agents to tryout for the team during rookie mini-camp to try and get a chance to earn their way on the team in August.
