'Canes great Michael Irvin: "I'm looking for Miami to surprise a lot of people"

When criticism of Hurricanes coach Al Golden spiked after Miami went 6-7 last year, one former Hurricanes legend – Hall of Famer Michael Irvin – was outspoken in support of Golden.

Now, with Miami set to begin another season and his son Michael Irvin II committed to the Hurricanes’ 2016 recruiting class, Irvin is again, expressing confidence in Miami’s coach and in quarterback Brad Kaaya to together, help the Hurricanes’ program get back on track.

“We talk because we’re in an instant world. We all want instant success, but just a few years ago, Miami was ranked in the top 10 going into that FSU game.
