Aquinas' Michael Irvin II -- son of Hurricanes great -- commits to University of Miami

Not surprisingly, Michael Irvin II – the son of former Hurricanes great Michael Irvin – got plenty of exposure to Miami’s football tradition as a little boy. Now, years later, he’s hoping to add his own name to the Hurricanes history books.

The younger Irvin, a receiver at St. Thomas Aquinas, verbally committed to Miami on Monday, accepting the Hurricanes’ scholarship offer after receiving interest from several schools including Syracuse, Georgia, and Michigan.
