Miami Heat rejected Chris Bosh’s treatment idea

While both sides are hopeful that Chris Bosh will be able to play next season, Bosh was trying to get on the court as early as the playoffs.

According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, Bosh and his camp researched the idea of taking blood thinners earlier in the day so that the medication would be out of his system by game time.

However, the Heat “adamantly opposed” allowing him play while on blood thinners in any way.

Someone with knowledge of the situation said blood tests indicated the medication was out of Bosh’s system after 8 to 12 hours, which would significantly lessen the risk for Bosh playing.
