Goran Dragic Was the Real Hero in the Heat’s Win Over the Pistons

Welcome to the Hot Hand, where after every Miami Heat game win or loss we recognize the player who best put his stamp on the game.

Goran Dragic returned to supreme form as the Miami Heat defeated the Detroit Pistons, 97-96, courtesy of buzzer-beating tip-in from Hassan Whiteside. Dragic posted 28 points, four assists and four rebounds in 34 minutes of action. Having struggled over the past four games, averaging 14.8 points on just 33.8 percent shooting overall, Dragic stepped up when the Heat needed him most.

The untimely loss of Dion Waiters to injury, on top of a nagging foot has injury to Dragic, has seen the Heat and their starting point guard struggle over the past week.
