NBA Commissioner Says League ‘Miffed’ with Regard to Cuba

After the NBA announced it would hold a basketball camp in Cuba earlier this month, the Miami Heat were upset that the league didn’t consult with them before making the decision to try to improve relations between The States and Cuba.

The Miami Herald’s Greg Cote reported the Heat registered “vehement objection” to the decision.

Of course, most of the country doesn’t care about this seemingly minor development. However, Miami is home to many Cuban exiles who want nothing to do with Fidel Castro’s Cuba and recently opposed Barack Obama’s decision to improve relations.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver recently admitted he made a mistake in not talking with the Heat organization.
