Miami Dolphins sign German Football League standout

The Miami Dolphins signed former German Football League standout Tyler Davis, hoping that this 24-year-old might become the franchise's next diamond in the rough, following in the footsteps of Cameron Wake and Marcus Thigpen.

Davis, who the Dolphins list as a receiver, played for Kiel Baltic Hurricanes of the German Football League last season.

There he starred as a two-way player, earning the league’s Most Valuable Player award in 2015 after catching 94 passes for 1,733 yards (18.4 avg.) and scored 24 touchdowns.

Davis, who is 5-foot-10, 178 pounds, also pulled in six interception as a defensive back in the German Football League last season.
