Jake Long does not sign injury waiver with Ravens, remains free agent

Former Miami Dolphins number one overall draft pick Jake Long appeared set to resume his career with the Baltimore Ravens, agreeing to a contract with the team. On Friday, however, Long refused to sign an injury waiver with the club, keeping him a free agent:

Long, a four time Pro Bowl selection, only appeared in four games last season with the Atlanta Falcons, working as a reserve lineman for the club. He spent the two years prior to that with the St. Louis Rams after five years with the Dolphins. He has had multiple injury issues during his career, including back, biceps, and knee injuries.
