Armstrong and his wife were shot and killed by their own 16 year old son. Two other children in the home were not hurt. Armstrong’s 20 year old son and a teenage daughter. Armstrong was taken to a Houston hospital where he was in critical condition dying a short time later.
Armstrong played one season for the Dolphins in 1995 appearing in four games but failing to register a tackle or an assist.
According to reports, the 16 year old called 911 and told the dispatcher what he had done.
