Dolphins starters likely to play past halftime Thursday vs. Falcons

DAVIE–Everyone calls the third preseason game a dress rehearsal, and it sounds like Dolphins coach Adam Gase will treat Thursday’s exhibition with the Falcons as such.

Ideally, Gase would like to play his starters, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill, into the third quarter in order to give them a test run at implementing halftime adjustments.

“But you just kinda see how it goes,” Gase said after Tuesday’s practice. “You just tell everybody to be ready to come out and play in the second half, and if we make some kind of adjustment and we change our mind, then we do it.
